10-Mans
10-Mans - Solo Competitive Queue
10-Mans is HubMatch's solo competitive queue. Ten individual players are matched together, split into two balanced teams, and play a 5v5 match. Think of it like FACEIT or ESEA but for Rematch. You do not need a team to participate - just yourself and a willingness to compete.
How It Works
The flow is straightforward. You click "Join 10-Mans Queue" and select your preferred position (GK, ST, Support ST, Box-to-Box, Last Man, or All-Rounder). The system reads your region automatically from your profile and places you in a region-locked queue - EU players match with EU players, NA with NA, and so on.
Once 10 players from the same region are ready, the system forms two balanced teams. You get a 30-second ready check. If everyone accepts, a random player is selected as host. The host creates a custom lobby in Rematch and shares the 6-digit lobby code through the match interface. Both teams play, report results, and ELO is updated.
Team Formation and Matchmaking
The matchmaking algorithm aims for less than 50 ELO difference between the two teams. It also ensures goalkeeper coverage - each team needs at least one GK. If not enough dedicated GK players are in the queue, All-Rounders are assigned to fill the goalkeeper slot automatically.
Players are placed in their selected position whenever possible. If there is a surplus at one position (too many Strikers, for example), some players may be reassigned to a similar role.
Captain Assignment
The host (randomly selected) serves as Team A's captain. A separate random player from Team B is assigned as Team B's captain. Captains are responsible for uploading match screenshots and confirming or disputing results. If a captain does not upload within 15 minutes, any player from that team can step in.
ELO and Rankings
10-Mans uses a dedicated individual rating called Ranked ELO, completely separate from your team's Tournament ELO. Everyone starts at 1200. Your first 10 matches are placement games with a higher K-factor, meaning your rating moves faster while the system calibrates your skill level. After placement, gains and losses stabilize.
The 10-Mans leaderboard ranks all players by ELO and shows win-loss record and win percentage. There are no visual rank tiers in the current version - it is a pure ELO number.
Penalties
Leaving the queue before a match starts carries no penalty.
Why Play 10-Mans
10-Mans is the best way to compete individually on HubMatch. It helps you practice under competitive conditions, improve your personal rating, and meet potential teammates. Many players use 10-Mans as a stepping stone before forming or joining a team for scrims, tournaments, and leagues.
