How to Find a Team

Finding the right team is one of the most important steps in your competitive journey. HubMatch provides structured tools for both players seeking teams and teams seeking players, so you do not have to rely on random Discord posts.

Creating an LFT Listing

If you are a free agent (or even a team member open to transfer), you can create a Looking For Team (LFT) listing. Your listing includes your position, secondary position, and what kind of team you are looking for. LFT listings are active for 7 days and can be renewed.

Make your listing count. Captains browsing LFT listings filter by position and region. Having a complete profile with a clear primary position makes you far more visible than a blank profile with just a nickname.

Browsing LFP Listings

Teams post Looking For Player (LFP) listings when they have an open roster spot. Each listing specifies the position needed, the expected playtime role (Main roster, Rotation, or Substitute), and the team's region. Browse these listings to find teams that match your position and preferences.

When you find a team that interests you, click Apply. The platform will warn you if your position or region does not match the listing - but this is just a soft warning, not a block. You can still apply if you think you are a good fit despite the mismatch.

The Tryout Process

Applying to an LFP listing (or accepting a tryout invite from a captain) starts a structured tryout process:

1. Screening - The receiving side reviews your profile and decides whether to proceed. For LFP applications, the captain screens you. For LFT invites, you screen the team. Either side can decline at this stage with no commitment.

2. Scheduling - If approved, you submit your availability slots (dates and times you can play). The captain picks a slot that works, or you both arrange the details via Discord.

3. The match - You play together in a real match. This can be a scrim, tournament game, league match, or even a 10-Mans session. The tryout is an evaluation process, not a separate match type.

4. Evaluation - After the match, the captain submits their assessment. They decide to either offer you a roster spot or pass. You will see their evaluation notes regardless of the outcome.

5. Decision - If accepted, you receive a roster offer and have 48 hours to accept or decline. Accepting automatically adds you to the team. If you are already on a team of the same type, you must leave it first before accepting.

Tips for a Successful Tryout

Play your natural game. Captains are evaluating your overall fit - not just whether your team won or lost. Communication matters, so if you have Discord, use it during the tryout match. Be on time for the scheduled slot. And do not stress about having multiple tryouts active - you can try out with several teams simultaneously and choose the best fit.

Getting Invited

Captains actively browse LFT listings and player profiles looking for recruits. A strong profile with a clear position, good ELO rating, and positive reputation score will attract invitations. Playing regularly in 10-Mans is one of the best ways to build your stats and get noticed, even before you find a team.
