Match Reporting and Verification
Match Reporting and Verification
After every game in Rematch, both teams need to report the result on HubMatch. This guide walks you through the full reporting and verification process so your matches count and your stats are tracked correctly.
How to Report a Match Result
Reporting happens per game within a series. If you are playing a BO3, you report three times - once after each game. Only the team captain can submit results.
Step 1 - Enter the score. After the game ends in Rematch, go to the match page on HubMatch. Enter the final score for both teams (e.g., Team A: 3, Team B: 1).
Step 2 - Upload a screenshot. Take a screenshot of the Rematch end-game results screen. It must clearly show the team names, the final score, and individual game results if applicable. Upload it through the match form.
Step 3 - Enter player stats. For every player who participated in the game, the captain enters the following stats manually:
- Goals - total goals scored
- Assists - total assists
- Passes - completed passes
- Interceptions - ball interceptions
- Saves - goalkeeper saves
- Score - the in-game performance score
- MVP - mark one player per game (the one with the highest Score)
These stats must match what is shown on the screenshot. Both teams submit their results independently - you do not see what the opponent entered until the system compares them.
How Verification Works
Once both teams have submitted, the system compares the two reports automatically.
Both teams agree - If both submissions show the same score, the match is instantly marked as completed. No waiting, no extra steps.
One team reports first - The match enters an awaiting-results state. The other team has 5 minutes to respond. They can submit their own result, click "Accept" to confirm the first team's report, or do nothing. If 5 minutes pass with no response, the first team's result is auto-accepted.
Scores do not match - The match enters a disputed state. Each team gets one chance to re-submit their result. After any re-submission, the system immediately checks whether the scores now agree. If they still disagree after both teams have re-submitted, the dispute is automatically escalated to Discord.
What Happens During a Dispute
When a match is escalated, the HubMatch Discord bot creates a private text channel (e.g., #score-dispute-00042). Only the team captains, the competition organizer (for tournaments and leagues), and platform admins can see it.
Both captains are asked to upload evidence - video clips, additional screenshots, or a written description of what happened. An admin or organizer reviews the evidence and makes a final decision:
- Team A or Team B wins - the match is finalized with the chosen winner
- Remake - the game is reset and replayed from a specific score
- Continue - the dispute is dismissed and the current score stands
Every decision requires a written justification, and the dispute channel is archived permanently as an audit trail.
Rules Violations
Separate from score disputes, a captain can report a rules violation at any point during the series - even while a game is still being played. This goes directly to Discord without a re-submission phase. Available for tournaments, leagues, and scrims, but not 10-Mans.
Resolution options for rules violations include remaking the game, disqualifying a team (for the current game or the entire series), or dismissing the report.
Tips
- Submit your result promptly after each game to avoid the 5-minute auto-accept working against you.
- Make sure your screenshot is clear and legible - blurry or cropped images slow down dispute resolution.
- Double-check player stats before submitting. Accurate stats feed into your player profile and career statistics.
- If something went wrong during the game, use the "Report Rules Violation" button in the series banner rather than waiting for the score submission phase.
