Pickup Queue Mode

Pickup Queue - Casual 5-Player Gather

The Pickup queue is HubMatch's casual mode. It gathers five players by region and drops them into a Rematch ranked lobby together. There is no ELO, no stats, no result reporting, and no match record on the platform - it is purely a fast way to find people to play with.

How You Enter

You can join Pickup on your own or queue together as a party of up to five players. Your region is auto-detected and the queue is region-locked. Picking a preferred position is optional here - the mode does not require or balance positions, it just needs five players from the same region.

Before you can join Pickup you must set a crossplay code in your player settings, because that is how the host invites you. Where the Discord bot is enabled, you also need a linked Discord account and HubMatch server membership so the bot can create a voice channel.

Coordination

There is no ready check. Once five players are gathered, one is designated host and creates a standard ranked lobby in Rematch (not a custom lobby like scrims and tournaments use). Everyone else joins one of two ways: by clicking the host's Steam profile link, or by adding the host with their crossplay code and joining from the friends list. The Discord bot also opens a temporary voice channel and invites all five players so you can coordinate.

No Result, No ELO

Pickup creates no series and records nothing. There is no screenshot to upload, no result to confirm, and no rating change. When the game ends, the queue is done. It exists for warming up, playing casually, or quickly finding a group - it fills the gap between solo ranked Rematch and the tracked competition of 10-Mans, 6-Mans, scrims, and tournaments.
